ELSEHERE EDITORIAL PROGRAM
Artist Interview
& Publication
Published in STRATUM Journal — U.S. ISSN registered
Some practices need more than a short bio or a press quote. They need language that holds the work, and a public record that keeps working for the artist across applications, introductions, and opportunities.
Why?
Most artists doing serious work are expected to produce the language around that work entirely on their own, for applications, for institutions, for visa cases, while still making the work itself.
This program was built to close that gap. Through ELSEHERE's editorial process, selected artists develop a written or multimedia feature that can support both public visibility and professional positioning over the long term.

Two tracks
Cross-Platform Circulation
Depending on scope, selected multimedia outputs may be adapted for platforms such as:
YouTube; Instagram; TikTok; Rednote; WeChat; Bilibili; Facebook; LinkedIn; STRATUM Journal
Not every project will include every platform, but this track is designed for broader editorial circulation across multiple digital contexts.
Publication/ Citation Value
Published in STRATUM Journal, this feature provides an ISSN-backed publication context that can be cited, linked, and used in future professional applications, including grants, residencies, academic programs, and artist visa materials.

Who this is for

Grant & fellowship applications
Published work in an ISSN-registered journal can serve as substantive supporting material.

Residency & academic programs
A strong editorial profile gives institutions a clear picture of practice and professional trajectory.

O-1 & artist visa cases
Publication evidence is a recognized category in international artist visa documentation.

1 / Intake form
Artists submit a short form with basic information about their practice, current needs, and intended use.
Initial review begins after submission
2 / Editorial review
Each submission is reviewed individually, assessed for editorial fit, clarity of practice, and readiness.
Selected artists will be contacted with next steps
3 / Track recommendation
ELSEHERE recommends the most appropriate track based on the artist's goals and the scope of the feature.
Editorial timelines vary by track and scope
4 / Feature development & publication
Once confirmed, the feature is developed through ELSEHERE's editorial process and published in STRATUM.
Publication timelines will be confirmed after acceptance
What Happens After You Apply
After submitting the intake form:
-
our editorial team reviews your materials
-
if there is a strong fit, we follow up with the recommended track
-
we confirm scope, timeline, and rate
-
the feature moves into editorial development and scheduling
Because this is a selective program, not every inquiry will move forward to publication.
