A ball has its own logic.
It moves. It repeats. It escapes. It rolls out of line. It refuses to stay still long enough to become only one thing. We are looking for artists, thinkers, movers, makers, and rule-breakers who want to work with the ball not only as object, but as force, symbol, memory, game, control system, absurdity, repetition, choreography, pressure, play, delay, or drift.

On April 29, International Dance Day, ELSEHERE invites submissions for Re-position, a special open call dedicated to dance as lived experience, embodied memory, and human presence.

ELSEHERE is opening a free Artist Open Call to invite artists, researchers, and cross-media makers into our curatorial and editorial field. We are building a long-running ecosystem that supports practices across bodies, image, sound, installation, performance, writing, and hybrid forms. If you are building a practice with a strong method and a clear aesthetic direction, we want to meet you.

ELSEHERE is assembling NYC based partners for a two week international exchange intensive in Fall 2026 (Aug–Sep window, dates TBC). The program centers on studio practice, method exchange, and cross cultural dialogue within the NYC dance ecology. This is both a teaching and artistic exchange, designed to support future collaboration beyond the initial program.

A banana peel is a minor residue, easy to miss, yet it can trigger imbalance, interruption, and deviation from the intended path. Banana Slips invites artists to begin from that small rupture, attending to failure, absurdity, misuse, risk, embarrassment, slipping, and subtle disruptions of everyday order, and to translate the image into work with contemporary relevance and critical depth.

The piece that stayed with you long after the premiere, the deadline, the upload, the rejection. The work that keeps returning in your body, your memory, your hard drive, your notes. The thing you moved on from, but that never quite moved on from you.
