Daniela Lucato

Filmmaker, Writer, Multidisciplinary Artist

Italy, Berlin

Italy, Berlin

Daniela Lucato (b. Padua, Italy) is a Berlin-based filmmaker, writer, and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores memory, identity, migration, and the emotional geographies of displacement. After completing a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Padua and a Master’s in Communication and Marketing for Fashion and Luxury Goods in Rome, she moved to Berlin, where she has developed an extensive body of work spanning film, performance, and creative direction. Her short films and documentaries have been screened and awarded internationally — including at the Sony Future Filmmakers Awards, Tribeca Film Center, and Encuentro de Imagen. Blending poetic narrative with documentary realism, her projects investigate how personal and collective histories intersect through intimate storytelling. Beyond her film practice, she collaborates across disciplines in cultural and festival contexts, often bridging artistic creation, curation, and community-based projects.
