Art is one way a life becomes legible. Through form, it holds what experience alone cannot fully say.

About the Artist
Yingyu Lyu is a Chinese choreographer and contemporary dancer based in Paris. Her work explores the body as a site of memory, emotional residue, and psychological tension, engaging with themes of intimacy, gender fluidity, and lived experience.
Working between physical research and theatrical composition, she develops a movement language shaped by personal narratives and embodied contradictions.
Her work has been presented internationally at institutions and festivals including Centre Pompidou, Fabbrica Europa, and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, as well as Florence Dance Festival. She has also collaborated with opera houses including Rouen Opera House and Tunis Opera.
