Bard Graduate Center (BGC) is pleased to continue the Fields of the Future fellowship and mentorship program for Spring 2027 (February 15 - June 15, 2027) in partnership with Sylvester Manor, a historic district of national significance on the New York and National Registers of Historic Places.


Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants Cycle 36 → 5/1

This program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need, creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography.


50k Prize Open to Immigrants Working in Culinary Arts → 5/4

The Vilcek Foundation will award six Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Culinary Arts two categories: Food & Beverage and Media & Storytelling. In each category, three young, immigrant culinary professionals who demonstrate outstanding early achievement in their field will receive individual unrestricted cash awards of $50,000. 


The Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant → 5/6

The Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant supports emerging and established writers who write about contemporary visual art. Ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 in four categories—articles, books, short-form writing, and translation—the grants support projects addressing both general and specialized art audiences, from short reviews for magazines and newspapers to in-depth scholarly studies.


Open Call: Public Outdoor Sculptures in LIC, Queens → 5/15

TF Cornerstone, in collaboration with Culture Lab LIC, is launching another open call for public outdoor sculptures in the new public open space along the Long Island City waterfront, situated between 5203 and 5241 Center Blvd, Long Island City, NY, 11101.


Dieu Donne Workspace Residency Program → 5/15

Dieu Donné is pleased to offer its 2027 Workspace Residency to emerging New York metropolitan area-based visual artists. With a focus on experimentation and collaboration, the Workspace program provides three artists the opportunity to explore paper pulp as an artistic medium.


Rooted + Relational Archives Fellow  → 5/15

CENTRO’s Rooted & Relational Archives Fellowship will expose early career archivists to the work and projects of CENTRO’s Archives. The fellowship will present a pathway into Ethnic Studies Libraries and Archives in order to provide scholars with practical work experience in areas commonly discussed in archival scholarship such as reparatory and bilingual description, community-oriented practices and spaces, and enrichment and diversification of the archival record. Fellows will be in residence for the 2026-2027 academic year and they will receive a $20,000 stipend paid in four installments.


Women’s Studio Workshop Studio Residency Grant  → 5/15

The Studio Residency Grant is a six- to eight-week residency for artists to create new work in any of our studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, or photography. WSW invites applications from artists at any stage in their careers.


Project Space Residency → 5/15

Rooted in VSW’s mission to provide support to experimental photo, film and media art artists, the goal of the Project Space Residency is to provide time, space, and resources to artists so they can create.


MTA Digital Art Program 2026  → 5/28

MTA Arts & Design (A&D) encourages the use of mass transit in the metropolitan New York area with engaging visual and performing arts and design within the transit environment. A&D’s permanent percent-for-art program, temporary digital art, graphic art, photography, live musical performances and Poetry in Motion are experienced by the 8.5 million people who ride MTA subways and trains daily.


The Keyholder Residency Program → 5/31

The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. It takes place in the shared Artists’ Studio, including the solvent/etching area and the darkroom.

BRICLab Film + TV Residency → 6/5

The BRIClab: Film + TV residency track incubates innovative and ambitious documentary filmmakers working on short form, episodic, or feature length non-fiction films.

2026 Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists → 7/2

QUEER|ART is a non-profit arts organization serving a diverse and vibrant community of LGBTQ+ artists across generations and disciplines.


Franklin Furnace XENO PRIZE for Artists’ Books  → 7/2

In pursuit of its mission to present, preserve, interpret, educate and advocate on behalf of avant-garde art, especially forms that may be vulnerable due to institutional neglect, cultural bias, their ephemeral nature, or politically unpopular content, Franklin Furnace has since 2023 offered the annual XENO Prizes for Performance Art and Artists’ Books, named in honor of xenophiles, people who appreciate all people and cultures.


2026 Mobile Dance Film Festival  → 7/21

The first film festival to screen dance films shot solely on mobile devices. Filmmakers may submit up to 3 films. No submission fees.
