Signature Artist Feature

Overview

This is ELSEHERE’s most complete artist-facing feature format.

It is built for artists who already know that one page or one interview is not enough. Some practices need a broader structure: a stronger introduction, a fuller written feature, a live editorial conversation, and some form of critical framing that can hold the work more fully.

This format is especially valuable for artists preparing for major submissions, long-term positioning, institutional visibility, and international career development. It is also one of the most useful formats for artists who are thinking seriously about visa portfolios, O-1, EB-1A, global talent pathways, and the broader administrative record required for sustaining an international career.

Best for

  • artists who want a complete editorial package rather than a single output

  • artists preparing for higher-stakes opportunities, major submissions, or long-term positioning

  • artists building serious portfolio materials for galleries, grants, residencies, fellowships, and institutions

  • artists developing O-1, EB-1A, global talent visa, and long-term international career documentation

  • artists who want a stronger record across profile, interview, multimedia, and critical framing

Why?

This format is about building a more complete record.

When an artist is trying to move forward internationally, present work more seriously, or consolidate the language and materials around a practice, isolated outputs are often not enough. A stronger system is needed. That is what this format provides.

It gives artists a fuller editorial architecture around the work and can continue to serve across public visibility, professional use, and long-term administrative contexts.

Selection & Fee

A PUBLICATION FEE APPLIES ONLY TO SELECTED ARTISTS.

If cost would otherwise make participation difficult, you are welcome to note this in your submission. ELSEHERE offers a limited support option for artists who are unable to cover the full publication fee. Depending on individual circumstances, support may be offered at 50% of the fee or, in select cases, at full support. At this time, this option is available for the Written Interview Feature and the Author-Prepared Essay Publication in the journal.

There is no fee to submit for review.
