Art is one way a life becomes legible.
Through form, it holds what experience alone cannot fully say.

About the Artist

Keria Kong is currently in an exploratory stage of artistic practice. Her work is characterized by the contemporary translation of traditional symbols combined with the visual piercing of individual emotions, and has gained over 100,000 views on social media. Her creative approach often centers on a process of “dual stitching”: deconstructing and reconstructing traditional cultural symbols and recontextualizing them through modern layouts and color systems; at the same time, she employs surreal visual language—such as the body, repeated imagery, and symbolic emotional carriers—to embed emotion into the work, allowing tradition and the present, culture and the individual, to form a visual dialogue.

In terms of expression and experiential structure, Keria Kong frequently adopts a logic of “symbol anchoring → visual conflict → emotional inquiry.” She begins by establishing core symbolic anchors through text and folkloric elements, then generates visual tension through formal distortion, chromatic rupture, and compositional displacement, and finally connects to lived emotional experience through open-ended propositions—positioning her work as both a “perceptible cultural vessel” and a “resonant emotional outlet.”

During her undergraduate studies, she received a Third-Class Outstanding Student Scholarship and a Second Prize in the Campus Relay Race. She was recognized as an “Outstanding Student” and “Outstanding Student Leader.” In the summer of 2025, she interned in the Planning Department of Xiyingmen Group, where she was responsible for the creative development and execution of solar-term posters and event key visuals, marking her first attempt to integrate folkloric symbols into commercial visual communication.

Going forward, Keria Kong will continue to deepen her practice in visual expression, exploring more diverse media and cross-disciplinary collaborations to communicate more effectively and cultivate sharper perceptual insight through her work.
