This is the contributor portal for people whose practices resonate with ELSEHERE, whether you work through movement, image, sound, language, research or any combination of these. You can share finished pieces, works in progress, long term investigations or small, precise gestures that feel too alive to be left in a folder.

We meet each submission with careful viewing and clear communication, and we think with you about where it might live best within our ecosystem of features, STRATUM journal, label releases, programs and future commissions. If you are carrying a work, a line of thought or a constellation of materials that will not quite end, this is where you bring it into our field of attention.

We publish and present films, time-based works, installation or performance documentation, photo essays, and hybrid formats that hold conceptual clarity and a distinct voice.

What we are looking for

ELSEHERE publishes and presents films, time-based works, installation documents, and photo essays that show clarity of concept, precision of craft, and a distinct voice. Surprise matters. So does care.

Formats we welcome

Film and time-based media, photography and photo series, audio and sound pieces, text-based works and essays, scripts and scores, installation documentation, performance documentation, video essays, and other hybrid or experimental formats.

How to Submit

1) Finished works

Have a completed work or time-based piece ready to present with us.

Send a short description and a private preview link. Unlisted or password-protected links are fine.

Premiere status is optional. If you prefer a premiere window, tell us your ideal dates.

Include 3 to 5 stills and full credits. Note runtime, year, country, and contact info.

2) Commissions

Pitch a piece to be developed under ELSEHERE. One tight paragraph is enough to start.

Send a logline, format and length, references or moodboard link, timeline, and key collaborators.

We welcome projects across art and design, culture, fashion and craft, food and travel, and music.

3) Branded collaborations

For brand-supported pieces or campaign ideas, share a brief and objectives.

Tell us the story, audience, deliverables, and timeline.

We can discuss sponsorship, placements, and bespoke commissions.

STRATUM Journal

A contemporary art and humanities journal for research-driven writing, discourse, and cultural criticism across languages and regions.

Essays, criticism, theory notes, research-based writing
Interviews, dialogues, field writing, artist writing
Scripts, scores, lecture-performances in text form (visual can be attached, but text should be the main form)

FEATURE

Profiles and long-form

Artist or project features, in-depth interviews, and authored profiles.

Send a 2 to 3 sentence pitch, a short bio, and 3 to 5 sample links or clips.

ESSAYS

Critical and creative writing

Themes we are gathering include:

Body philosophy and movement studies
Performance studies
Digital, religion, ritual, perception
Cross-cultural dance theory
Visual narrative and new media criticism
Personal writing fragments and diaries
Short papers by emerging scholars worldwide

Send an abstract 150 to 250 words, estimated length, and two writing samples.

WORKS

Digital curation

Publication of artworks and time-based pieces in a curated format.

Include selected stills or screenshots, a QR code or link to the work, and brief curatorial notes. Visual poetry and image stills are welcome. We also run the ELSEHERE Artists’ Showcase.

FIELD NOTES

Archive writing

On-site production notes, rehearsal logs, artist process journals, festival and residency travel, and curatorial writings.

Send 5 to 10 images or clips with concise captions and a 150 to 300 word note.

REVIEW AND RESPONSE

We review on a weekly cycle and respond to projects we advance. If you do not hear from us within four weeks, you are invited to share future pieces.

RIGHTS

You keep copyright. By submitting, you grant ELSEHERE a non-exclusive worldwide license to publish and promote the work on our site, social channels, press, and archive for 24 months with full credit. You confirm you have all necessary permissions, including music and talent releases. Removal can be requested with reasonable notice.
