Entangled Garden will be presented at Le Petit Versailles, a community garden, performance space, exhibition site, and public forum on New York’s Lower East Side.

Le Petit Versailles was established in 1996 by artists and neighborhood members on a former auto-body lot. Over three decades, the site has developed into a distinctive cultural space where artistic presentation remains connected to gardening, collective maintenance, neighborhood participation, and the politics of urban land.

The garden is an ongoing program of Allied Productions, an artist-run nonprofit organization founded in New York in 1981. Its history includes performance, film and video, visual art, music, workshops, public discussion, and projects concerned with social and environmental life.

For ELSEHERE, the choice of site is integral to the artistic framework of the festival.

Le Petit Versailles offers none of the neutrality associated with a conventional white cube or black-box theater. Its narrow dimensions, low platform, brick paths, vegetation, surrounding buildings, street sound, and proximity between artists and audiences require every project to consider how it occupies space.

The partnership brings together two artist-centered organizations with related commitments: creating conditions for experimental work, sustaining public access to culture, and supporting forms of practice that do not always fit established institutional formats.

Entangled Garden is presented by ELSEHERE International Arts Nexus and hosted at Le Petit Versailles, an Allied Productions program, from October 8–11, 2026.
