Dance Company

Finleigh Zack Dance (FZD) is a contemporary dance company directed by choreographer, director, and producer Finleigh Zack (US/UK). The company’s mission is to bring perspective, awareness, and inspiration to conversations around mental health through community-centred movement and performance practices.

Rooted in movement, built on mentorship, and held together by community, FZD creates spaces for expression, connection, and care across all facets of its work. The company prioritises collaborative processes that honour both the physical and emotional body, offering dancers and audiences an opportunity to engage with vulnerability, resilience, and shared human experience. FZD’s work gives voice to artists seeking connection through embodied practice and collective creation.

FZD has presented work at a range of international venues and festivals, including the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics (EU), Chisenhale Dance Space and The Union Theatre (UK), Center for Performance Research and Gibney Dance Center (US), among others. The company is composed of collaborators and artists spanning the US, UK, and parts of Europe, allowing for diverse cultural perspectives to inform its creative process.

Finleigh Zack’s creative practice is influenced by collaboration, mindfulness, and the balance between personal narrative and collective experience. She approaches creation with care and intentionality, fostering inclusive, supportive environments both in and out of the studio. Finleigh received her BFA in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and has worked internationally as a performer and choreographer, with work presented at venues including Rambert Dance Studios, Chisenhale Dance Space, and Boink! Dance Film Festival.
