Summer Update from ELSEHERE+ STRATUM
Hi Dear ELSEHERE Friends,
As summer gets closer, we wanted to share a quick update and also open the door a little wider.
Over the past week, we’ve published several new articles on STRATUM. Links are below if you’d like to spend time with them:
When “Cute” Becomes a Boundary: Rabbits, Praise, and the Soft Discipline of Recognition
Paper Cutting: Warmth of the World Beneath Blades and Scissors
We also recently released a long conversation with dance artist Fatima, now published on the journal as part of our ongoing editorial work. If you’re interested in having your own featured conversation or journal feature, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Here is the information for our artist publication program.
We’d also love for you to invite friends into this community. From the beginning, the intention behind ELSEHERE has been to build an accessible meta-community for artists across geographies, one that can hold exchange, visibility, and conversation beyond local boundaries.
If you’re interested in publishing your own work through STRATUM, we’d be very glad to hear from you. Essays, reflections, fragments, visual work, experimental writing, and other forms are all welcome.
At the same time, we hope this space can be active and alive through all of you. Please feel free to share your work, your process, your thoughts, and pieces of your life here. We’re also developing possible opportunities for artists, and there is a chance we may organize an in-person exhibition in New York this fall. If that moves forward, this community will be the first place we share it. You’ll have the earliest access to updates and ways to get involved.
And if you’re posting on social media, feel free to tag us. When we see your work, we’d love to reshare it, support its circulation, and, where it makes sense, explore possible collaborations so the work can travel further across a wider community.
Let’s keep making, sharing, and building this together.

Thanks for the update, I would love to post something on STRATUM soon...
